Because DECI is a specialized industry that provides work, vocational evaluation, vocational skill training, job placement and vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities, we try to employ staff with skills and talents related to our purpose. The objective in selecting a new staff member is to select the individual best qualified for the position, without regard to characteristics unrelated to job performance.

All positions require a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Some positions may require specialized training and/or a college degree.

Accountant

This person will perform a variety of accounting transactions and record keeping duties, including maintaining journals and subsidiary ledgers, month end close & financial statement processing, account analysis and bank reconciliations. Other duties will include collections, cash posting, and billing. DECI strongly prefers a bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience. Computer training and experience with MS Office (Excel and Word) required; comprehensive knowledge in the use of spreadsheets. This person will report to DECI's Controller (who is a CPA). This role is scheduled M-F 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM.
