DECI is in Durham, North Carolina – minutes from the Research Triangle Park, RDU International Airport and Interstate Highways 40 & 85.  DECI is a climate-controlled office, production, and warehouse space with a diverse customer base.​

DESCRIPTION
 
  • Research new business opportunities, identify likely sales points, develop strategic plans and sales strategies, and undertake presentations to and negotiations with promising prospective customers. Identify new markets and attract new customers to expand DECI’s product reach and profit revenues.
  • Responsible for planning and executing the long-range goals of those departments and the company as a whole.
  • Build and promote strong, solid relationships with customers and potential customers by partnering with them and understanding their business needs.
  • Prepare, validate, and follow up on quotations/proposals for business opportunities.
  • Develop pricing structures that will align with the budget and financial goals of DECI.
  • Coordinate activities among peers and subordinates, including Customer Service, transportation, production scheduling, and new product introduction.  Support Production staff on job set-up.
  • Audit and track production output and make adjustments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate/coordinate customer needs with Production Director and Production Managers to determine production schedules.
  • Respond and escalate customer feedback as needed.
  • Work cooperatively and professionally with DECI staff, subordinates, persons with disabilities, and other business contacts.  Maintain good public relations with customers and professional contacts.
  • Advise DECI Executives on all New Product Introduction activities.
  • Develop strategic plans and sales strategies, identify new markets and attract new customers to expand DECI’s product reach and profitability.
  • Regular contact and follow-up with ongoing and prospective customers to assess needs as well as cultivate additional opportunities.  Review past orders and current accounts to generate ideas on expanding services to customers.
  • Manage the customer’s expectations appropriately to ensure mutual satisfaction for both the customer and DECI.  During customer interaction, continually adjust own behavior and language according to the audience in order to achieve creditability and recognition as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information including files, documentation, records, and reports. Regularly report activities/outcomes to management and administration.
  • Understand, interpret, follow and ensure adherence to DECI, ISO, and CARF policy and procedures.
  • Exhibit loyalty toward the overall goals and mission of DECI. Present a consistently positive disposition in supporting, sharing, and carrying out Leadership and Executive team decisions.
  • Support and share the organizational vision. Responsible for developing and successfully implementing initiatives toward the achievement of organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (i.e., accounting, economics or business), or five years minimum successful experience in sales.  Knowledge of promoting, selling services, marketing strategies/tactics, and selling techniques.
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Considerable sales and CRM experience; must be a strong negotiator and strong in conflict resolution. 
  • Customer service mentality and ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent mathematical skills as well as written and verbal communication/grammar skills. 
  • Initiative, responsibility to follow up and deadlines and ability to deal with various projects effectively and efficiently are important traits for a person in this position.
  • Detailed-oriented, strong organizational skills; ability to maintain easy accessibility to records & information.
  • Must be aware of and able to respond to economic trends.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied requests and interrupted schedules
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Chief Operations Officer

DESCRIPTION
 
  • Responsible for warehouse operations, assembly/production, inventory management, outside sales, customer service, and facilities/safety.
  • Drives accountability and holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Accepts responsibility for mistakes.
  • Builds the organization by developing or improving products or services. Regularly make high quality decisions for which there may be little precedence.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills and ability and skill to relate to all types of people and levels in the organization.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Qualified Professional/Service Coordinator - Medicaid Services - Full Time

DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of effective and adequate vocational goals. 
  • Collect, organize and analyze information about individuals through observation, interviews other sources to appraise interests and aptitudes for vocational training and placement purposes.
  • Assist individuals in the program toward competitive work through training, accommodation and goal setting.
  • Develop, implement and document job training, behavior plans, and appropriate interventions to achieve vocational goals as defined in each individual’s plan.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Medicaid Qualified Professional.  Related 4 Year degree required.  Below are a list of credential qualifications that will deem a candidate experienced as a Medicaid Qualified Professional:
    • An individual who holds credentials issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in NC by the North NC Board of Nursing who also has 4 years of full-time accumulated experience in Mental Health/Developmental Disability/Substance Abuse (MM/DD/SA) with the population served.
    • Masters degree in a human service field and has 1 year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served; or a substance abuse professional who has 1 year of full-time, postgraduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and has 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling
    • Bachelor’s degree in a field other than human services and has 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills as demonstrated by past job performance.  Ability to collect, organize and analyze information.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people of all levels.
  • An understanding of basic behavior modification and task-training techniques.

Production Supervisor - Full time

  • Train and work among individuals with disabilities to demonstrate general work habits, work methods and model appropriate work behaviors while meeting production goals as defined by the assigned department.
  • Follow applicable quality procedures and work instructions; always be aware of safety and immediately report any unsafe working conditions to the manager or administration.
  • Arrange the work area, scheduling and setting up workstations to achieve efficient production and maximize utilization of all members of work group.

  Medical Facility Patient Escort - Full time & Part time

As a Patient Escort, YOU will move patients and other items throughout the VA Medical Center. DETAILS OF THE JOB
  • You will transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or otherwise escort patients to correct locations within VA Medical Center in a safe and timely manner 100% of the time.
  • You will have each trip assigned by a dispatcher over a handheld radio and you will be expected to complete each run quickly and safely to radio back for your next assignment.
  • You will become an ambassador to patients, family members, or other visitors to the VA Medical Center.
  • You will communicate effectively using excellent customer service techniques.
  • You will respond to medical emergency and broadcast codes and be familiar with VA Medical Center routes.
  • You will be walking continuously throughout your 4-8 hour shift which includes pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and twisting.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great physical health with the ability to push, pull, and maneuver wheelchairs, stretchers and beds with people of all statures.       
  • Ability to work independently and use handheld 2-way radio.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and work different shifts to accommodate staffing needs.

DESCRIPTION
 
  • Drive vehicles (short truck – automatic transmission, tractor-trailer – manual transmission) and forklifts as required. (Vehicles up to and over 26,000 G.V.W.) 
  • Drive vehicles in a safe manner, and report maintenance problems, show care for both cargo and vehicle
  • Load and unload customer products, production supplies, office supplies, or other materials with help from forklift/hand truck
  • Perform in a professional and responsible manner when dealing with customers both at their sites and at DECI
  • Work closely with customer shipping departments and with DECI supervisors, so that materials are delivered and received as directed
  • Follow applicable quality procedures and work instructions; always be aware of safety and immediately report any unsafe working conditions to the manager or administration
  • Complete necessary paperwork (shipping forms and reports) with accuracy
  • Quality control by checking printed material, counting, verifying accuracy or other verification duties
  • Check in regularly with truck scheduler regarding schedule and driving assignments
  • Keep work area clean and orderly, maintain all property, equipment, tools and products in good condition
  • May work among individuals with disabilities to demonstrate general work habits, work methods and model appropriate work behaviors while meeting production goals as defined by the assigned department
  • Participate in staff development activities and train new staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training preferred.
  • Four to five years of truck driving experience with safe driving record
  • Experience on heavy trucks or tractor-trailer trucks
  • General knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety
  • Ability to take responsibility for physical control and safety of enroute shipments
  • Ability to read shipping orders, and to legibly write shipping forms and reports
  • Ability to read maps, and become familiar with local routes
  • Physical ability to carry, move or lift at least up to 30 lbs. (or within individual restrictions); bend; climb; crouch; kneel; stoop and walk. 
  • May perform production tasks that may require repeating motor actions for extended periods of time.
  • Valid North Carolina CDL, Class A with current Medical Card and lab report showing negative drug test results
